Document Authentication Process
- Official Document Authentication: For both single and double authentication, the process begins with the preparation of a valid notarized document. This document is then submitted to the embassy or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the case of double authentication, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs first certifies the notary, followed by the embassy’s verification of the Ministry’s certification. The final step involves the embassy confirming the authenticity of the Ministry’s certification.
- Non-Official Document Authentication: Involves certification by a Singaporean lawyer+authentication from the Singapore Law Society+verification by the relevant foreign embassy.
